woodruff

It is May and woodruff time, called master of the woods in Germany. It is so subtle and sweet and earthy and unique and my little plantation - under the magnolia tree, obviously - spreads further every year. It makes a lovely may wine, which is just the thing to enjoy while relaxing after yard work.

  3. I planted a few little plants a few years back and they are spreading more every year. Very lovely for home made ice cream. I can freeze some for you, I need to harvest soon, as it is all over by the time they start to blossom.
